The 2009 Florida Senior Games Archery Championship was held at the Sherman Soccer Complex in Lee County on Saturday, December 5th, 2009. The shooting conditions were perhaps the worst I have ever experienced in the 26 years I have been competing. The rain eased up somewhat but would not stop, so we decided to start the competition. As if the rain wasn't bad enough, we shot the 50yd and 40yd portions in strong, variable winds. Only about 2/3 of the archers stayed after the first end for score. Of those who stayed, three shot from 1 to 12 arrows and stopped.
